2 Day Challenge
Check out the challenges for the 2018 Big Ride for Africa.
This year's Big Ride will consist of two contrasting days of cycling showcasing some of the best roads and scenery in Ireland. Day one sees riders get off to a fast and exciting start through rolling fields typical of this part of Ireland making it famous for farming and horse racing; the nation's favourite sport. Day one can be seen as a warm up for the challenges of day two that take participants into the stunning Wicklow Mountains; a national park with outstanding scenery. The testing climbs along the way will be made easier thanks to fantastic views and some of the best scenery in Europe.
On day 2 there will running / walking routes covering with a half or full marathon again starting and finishing from our base camp and marshalled, signed and supported all the way along the route.
Please note: routes are subject to change up until the day due to weather conditions, works and diversions and so participants are reminded to follow the signs provided rather than the maps.

Cycle chaperones will be in each time group so that there is always someone there to support you.
You will be asked to sign up for your preferred routes at registration but should you wish to change once you get on site this is possible by speaking to one of the onsite reception staff.
